A Rustic Wedding in Pincher Creek for Ryan and Alli

Ryan and Alli’s wedding day was beautifully designed down to the very last detail. You could tell that both of them were involved in choosing how they would carry out their rustic theme. Ryan chose his tweed suit and the tweed pants for his groomsmen. Alli handcrafted each bouquet and boutonniere. They both foraged for moss and fallen wood to use in decorating. Although their unique style certainly stood out, what really made the day special was the tenderness between these two. Alli was incredibly sweet and excited and Ryan clearly cherished her. There were several times I was almost brought to tears watching these two together and by listening to the great love their friends and family have for them. I was especially moved by how Alli’s father tightly embraced them both after the ceremony.

They were married on a beautiful fall day in Pincher Creek, Alberta. The sun came out and the wind stayed home. We were able to incorporate a lot of the rustic elements they used in their decorations in the locations chosen for the photographs and everything came together so well.

I first met Alli when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed seven years ago, so it was wonderful to be there for her to celebrate her own marriage.
