Fort Calgary and Charlotte

I had the great pleasure of meeting up with Jordan and Lauren and their little girl Charlotte at Fort Calgary in Calgary, Alberta for a family photo session. They had the wonderful idea of including Charlotte’s great-grandparents (and grandparents) as well and it made me so happy to see them again. (I photographed Jordan and Lauren’s wedding several years ago). Jordan and Lauren wanted Charlotte to always have photographs of her with her family, to be a beautiful memento of her heritage. I loved this idea and thought it was a beautiful gesture to honour these seniors in this way.  I would recommend anyone thinking of considering family photos, to do something similar.

I love how Jordan and Lauren planned out a vintage type feel to their photos by choosing their outfits to be complimentary to the location they chose. I think everything came together beautifully without being too orchestrated. I had never been to Fort Calgary before, which is surprising because I grew up in Calgary, but now I can’t wait to go back.
